Max is the perfect combination of goofy, loyal, curious, and stubborn. He can be completely serious one minute and have everyone laughing the next. He has a huge personality and definitely seems to believe that the house belongs to him and we are simply lucky enough to live there.
He loves people, but he likes to check them out first. Once Max decides you're his friend, though, you have a friend for life. He will follow you around the house, sit beside you, and occasionally put a paw on you when he thinks you have forgotten that he deserves attention.
Food is one of his greatest motivations. Max can somehow hear a cheese wrapper being opened from across the house, even when he appeared to be sound asleep seconds earlier. He also has an internal clock for dinner and will politely—or not so politely—remind you if you're running late.
