Max

Max is the perfect combination of goofy, loyal, curious, and stubborn. He can be completely serious one minute and have everyone laughing the next. He has a huge personality and definitely seems to believe that the house belongs to him and we are simply lucky enough to live there. He loves people, but he likes to check them out first. Once Max decides you're his friend, though, you have a friend for life. He will follow you around the house, sit beside you, and occasionally put a paw on you when he thinks you have forgotten that he deserves attention. Food is one of his greatest motivations. Max can somehow hear a cheese wrapper being opened from across the house, even when he appeared to be sound asleep seconds earlier. He also has an internal clock for dinner and will politely—or not so politely—remind you if you're running late.

Max came into my life at exactly the right time. From the beginning, he had this way of making ordinary days feel a little better. He loves going for rides, exploring new places, and somehow always knows when someone needs a little extra attention.

His favorite things are long walks, chasing squirrels he will never catch, sleeping in the most inconvenient spot possible, and hearing the sound of a treat bag opening from three rooms away.

Max has grown into more than just a dog. He is part of the family and involved in almost everything we do. Whether we are outside working in the yard, sitting on the couch watching TV, or heading out on an adventure, he wants to be right there.

He has brought a lot of laughter, loyalty, and unforgettable memories into our home, and life just wouldn't feel the same without him.
